Because Halloween falls in this semester, students will create an original limerick poem about Halloween. The poem must follow the tradition rhyming pattern of a limerick poem: AABBA. Be creative when writing your poem! Be sure to decorate the paper and draw or get a picture off the internet that relates to your poem, I may be hanging them in the hall so everyone can view your hard work and creativity!
The second assignment for this quarter is to choose one of the main characters from your individual choice book and make a poster board or tri-fold board about that character's life. Be sure to include their name, where they lived and interesting information about their life that you discover when reading the book. Be sure to include pictures of how you imagine the character to look like. Also, make sure you decorate your poster board or tri-fold board!
